We are currently looking for Selection Criteria Writers to join our
existing team. You must
have a good knowledge and understanding of working in Government departments. Queries phone

While we respect and seek the abilities of journalists and other
qualified writers, through experience, we have come to realise that the best people in this industry don't necessarily come from such
backgrounds. Experience in the Government sector will be highly regarded.
We are looking for people with very good English writing
skills and an aptitude for writing applications that demonstrate and sell their clients unique experience and skills. If you have
a background in Government, recruitment, business management, journalism or similar fields, you quite likely have a good feel for
what is required. You may even be a retiree or just looking for additional part time income - you just need to be able to produce quality job
applications.
Commitment to excellent client service and to producing quality work is our primary concern. Our
excellent reputation rests in the hands of our writers. All work is assessed and critiqued on an ongoing basis.
To Apply
You
simply need to send us an application letter (one page), response to the selection criteria (below) and your resume (no more than four
pages). You should limit your responses to the selection criteria to no more than 350 words per criterion. Once you have submitted
your application, we will contact you within five business days.
In completing the selection criteria you may use the S.T.A.R. Model (refer APS website) if you desire, or any other approach you feel appropriate. You must provide examples of how your experience meets the criteria.
The selection criteria are as follows:
SC1: Demonstrated high level verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to conduct telephone interviews with clients to review their employment/training history;
SC2: Understanding
of the APS Integrated Leadership Statement (refer APS web-site) and of Federal or State Government working environments;
SC 3: Ability
to produce well written and effective Government selection criteria applications addressing a wide variety of occupations;
SC4: Understanding of, and comitment to popular Government HR Management concepts such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Diversity and OH&S;
SC5: Good general computer skills, particularly with MS Word, Email and Internet Research.
